India as a country has had a rich sporting history. We were the ones who gave the world the sport of Chess. Much before Lee and Hesh came on the scene we had the likes of the Krishnans and the Amritrajs making a name for the country. Jayanta Talukdar happens to be the most promising sportstar to have emerged recently, capable of reaching the pinnacle of his sport - Archery, yet tragically, is going unnoticed. A lot has been said and documented about the demise of Indian Hockey which is now trying to make a comeback from the death throes. So quite clearly there is a problem.
An effort has to be made to correct this. It is in this quest that we aim to build an organization that tries to get people involved in developing a strong sporting culture. We truly believe that if we get people to care for sports and if there is a change in the way the people of India perceive sports, we could bring about a revolution. A renaissance of Indian Sports!
To further this cause, what is needed is a wholesome approach towards this field. Not only do we set out on a process to unearth talent, we will also try and foster the spirit of sports. A process of education steeped in the history and tradition of the game.
We would have achieved our aim if we could get a generation to take up this cause. For us, Sports is not a part of Life, it is Life itself.
